Features
CLOSED CELL—CROSS LINKED FOAM is used for high compression, light weight, sandwich
construction in the hull and deck.
"NO LEAK" air tanks achieve self-rescuing capability. The raised forward floor provides extra stability when righted. New behind the seat drain minimizes the water held in the boat while sailing.
Solid PVC FOAM Core fiberglass rudder uses unidirectional roving for high strength and lower maintenance.
Rolled deck to cockpit and shear for added comfort and ease in handling side controls.

The 2008 Nickels Lighting features a new hull and deck. The hull design maximizes down wind speed while preserving upwind performance, while the new rolled deck affords greater comfort when hiking in addition to our optimization of control
line location. The new deck also provides for increased interior room for crew and skipper. We have
also included a new location for fine tuning of the backstay. This new deck is stiffer insuring durability
and strength.
